Flight Simulators.

An old picture circa 1989 of some cockpit work in an Orien P-3 We made flight trainers for the Navy and managed plenty of "stick time" thanks to a lengthy testing period. (similar to sea trials for a new ship)
The FA-18 Hornet, the top aircraft on the planet (then). Pilots train in cockpits below which are exact copies of the plane they will qualify in.
Here on of my coworkers making sure everything is OK. These things were the ultimate arcade game. Try going from mach 4 to a runway without crashing and you appreciate what these talented aviators are made of.
